Flag…the deer

So the name is more a camp reference then the actual name of the deer. Taken at the Maine Wild Life Perserve, the deer was still in the fence but you can’t see the fence. I love how the deer stopped moving to give me time to take the picture, ie focus and get the [...]

I don’t really have much to say about this picture except the cool shapped rock that is the subject. And it was taken at Coos Canyon in Maine on the first field trip we had.
Soothing Water

The picture seems very soothing because of the smoothness of the rocks. Taken around Grafton Notch Maine, I was able to get really close to sections of the rapids because although they were still rapids, at the top portion they were a lot calmer as they approached a small fall.

well I just did, and they are BEAUTIFUL! I mean AMAZING!!! INDESCRIBABLE! They are such a unique experience between the mist and the noise that cannot be recreated. Angel Falls was the first waterfall (besides Niagra) that I think I have seen (I don’t remember everything from when I was a little kid) and it [...]
All Year Round

So I was a littler nervous coming to Maine with the weather. I am from north-east Ohio and we have seasons, winter=snow, spring =rain and flowers, summer=heat, fall=becoming cold and changing leaves. Its not exactly beautiful all year around, mainly winter becomes really gross looking and fall isn’t take your breathe away colors. After being [...]
Too Beautiful to Capture

Ever heard the words “Too beautiful for words,” well my friend mentioned a good one similar to that “too beautiful to do it justice in photographs.”
Today my class traveled to Monhegan Island, by Ferry, and stayed there for about 5 hours. While hiking an about 10 mile hike up and down rocks, around the perimeter, [...]

As I sit here and scan in slides, I thought a would post one of the ones I just scanned in. Taken at Wolfneck State Park in Maine
I love the picture, because after months and months of bare trees, grey’s and whites, all around me on campus, I finally get to take a pictue of color [...]
