Funny….texture is one of those qualities I wish I ’saw’ and photographed more often because it is a quality I appreciate in others work, like yours here.
Wow, I do try to pay attention to texture, but I’m not sure that I would have notice this photo just waiting to be taken. Nice compostion, nice idea! Good job moving from the idea to execution. Mitch
Thank you about the great eye for texture. But I didn’t see the texture until I was looking at the photo again. I orginally shot a picture of the same subject but of a different veiw but then decided that the lines would also be cool from above. And it turned into a great textured shot.
Don’t you just love it when you get something extra, that you didn’t expect, from a picture you take?
I’m trying to figure out how you got that floaty look. The stone doesn’t seem to touch the grass or the gravel.
Wow, i never noticed the floating quality until you pointed it out. It is a bench to cutting out the legs helped. I also took the picture from almost directly above yet still at a slight angle which I think gave it that quality.
I like the contrast between the heavy stone and the floating as well as the lines and textures here.
That’s a really neat shot. Super.
