Sunday Stills: the Rules of Thirds
July 24, 2010
I was really excited for this challenge the rule of thirds. The rule of thirds is when you place your subject anywhere but in the middle of photograph. I prefer this way when composing subject matters because I feel it draws more attention to the interaction between the foreground subject and background subject. Here are three pictures I took in my mother’s garden following the rule of thirds.

love that bottom shot. The colors are loud and vibrant and it’s good use of the rule!
yes, the shot draws your eyes right to the flower, and they stand out from the background.
