Yes those chilis are real, they aren’t plastic althought they look a tiny bit like it. Its a bunch of dried chilis that we found EVERYWHERE in New Mexico. This was a church that we stopped at inbetween Santa Fe and Taos.

Another Hot Air Balloon.

Our pilot was telling us that when hot air balloons go out they try not to go out alone. That was the same in for our ride. This is a picture of the other ballooning lowering into the Rio Grande Gorge while we raise above it.
Back Lit Subjects

I love taking pictures of back lit subjects. It is easiest at sunset or sunrise when the run will be directly behind the subject creating a black silhouette. This was taken very early in the morning of my hot air balloon ride. The subjects are setting up the basket.

So for my dad’s birthday present my sisters and I took him on a hot air balloon ride at 5:30 in the morning. During the set up I got some of the coolest pictures. (using my dads Nikon D 80…by the way, i am in LOVE with it!).
