So even though I stopped posting during the past few months, I never really stopped taking pictures. The following pictures are from a lake called Upper Lake about two blocks away from my house that I took when I was taking my dog for a walk. It was a beautiful spring day, and the pictures do not feel like they were taking by a lake surrounded by houses but more in the wilderness.

I have been feeling pretty uninspired lately with pictures. This is the longest time I have really spent in the same city, I’ve put down all my photo projects, and I’ve really only been taking pictures of my friends or for work.
But I’m ready to return for a few reasons:
My photo friend has been suggesting that I post
I realized after work that it is harder than I thought to take action pics and make it look good.
My computer is working amazingly well again (I had to get a new battery, new screen, re-install windows…I wanted to throw it out the window…it was probably more stressful than I wanted to handle).
And, most importantly I am going to Italy for my fall semester and want away to document my trip with out having to give much personal detail.
These reasons made me realize I need to bring the blog back. After spending the afternoon at Wright’s House of Falling Water taking pictures, and being told I can’t take pictures. I decided I should post again. (Sorry Uri
you won’t see this until probably until days after).
These pictures are from a series I took after a rainstorm in Cleveland. Its in my mother’s garden and I really wanted to take close up pictures of the rain drop on the plants. So I did that, and here’s the outcome.

So when I first began my blog I posted this picture that I had taken during my Nature Photography course. I thought this picture could relate to it. Although the wood overpowers the rope in the picture, I want the focus of the picture to be on the rope to emphasis what washes up from the ocean over time similar to how the boat in the other picture diminished over time into just a pile of wood that no longer is used.

So fall is beautiful here in Maine but not unrealistic. Purple leaves are some what unrealistic. Yet this pictures does have purple/ pink leaves in it. That’s because I photoshoped it. I took out some of the yellow that was in the picture which left the leaves as a purple color. The tree was originally yellow so I was a little surprised at first when there was still a fair amount of color left. The purple is really nice and the picture looks cooler because of it.

So it is very much Fall here in Maine, seems getting closer and closer much faster each day. I am predicting snow with in the next few weeks, and lucky its not suppose to snow snow for the next week and a half. So this is my way of holding on to the sun and color filled summer (as much as I LOVE the winter). I took this picture actually in mid/late September when I first got my new camera of a flower on my campus. The weather that day felt like summer and the colors in the photo SCREAM…SUMMER TIME!

This is a reflection of some trees in Central Park in the pond/ lake thing by the Alice in Wonderland statue. I love that if I were to turn it upside down, it is so clear that the ripples then are the only clear indication that is a reflection and not a regular picture of the trees. And although the brightness is a little off, its still a nice picture.

…that’s what it looks like here in Maine when the leaves begin to change colors. All the colors are so vibrant and bright that it looks AMAZING and beautiful. I have only experienced one fall like this, since I am from Ohio, it isn’t as pretty, and I look forward to this upcoming one.

The quality of this picture (focus) is a little sketchy because my point and shoot isn’t the best camera in the world. So this past winter a HUGE ice storm came through my campus covering EVERYTHING in ice, leaves, trees, bikes, etc. Pretty much everything that was outside. It gave the entire campus a BEAUTIFUL crystallized feeling about it.

It happened the night before this picture was taken so the campus had more of a erie feel that crystallized. So was w back to my form and found the bike rack covered in ice and ice crystals. I put the bike rack diagonally across the picture to make it more interesting then just straight on.
