Texturing Photos

October 21, 2011

About a week go I was explained by a fellow blogger (Mike) how one of his pictures had the texture it had. From what he explained, I gathered he took pictures of textures and then blended them in with the photograph. Upon seeing the outcome and knowing how it was done, it was definitely something I really wanted to try. I’ve done it before in film processing and have always loved the result. The following pictures were my first two attempts.

This first picture comes from my time abroad in Florence Italy. The texture I used came from a wicker drawer.

This next picture I have actually posted before. The texture is a very grainy sand.

Very nice! The second image looks more like a painting. Good choice of textures to compliment the subjects. Cheers!
